Has any listened to the new Skindred album "roots rock riot"? I got it the other day and its brillant! My favourite song so far is "cause a riot". Now the alt british music scene is dead and excremented on by this countrys media could they bring us out of the dark ages? Hell is for heroes broke up the other week and no one cared its a shame really, feels like the dream is over.

All the awesome brit punk ska bands have broken up and all we are left with are "THE generic indie band".

Anyone know any british bands bringing it back except "reuben and sonic boom six" who i already know about.?

I went into town on launch day to get a copy, but couldn't find a copy anywhere. Ended up getting their first album as I've had Set It Off sitting on my hard drive for years but had never gotten the album.

As for other UK bands, give The King Blues and Random Hand a shot.

Seen them live, really good band live.

Girlfriend saw them at the Rock Cafe in Stourbridge, and they invited them back stage, apparently really nice guys too! :)

The UK hardcore scene is flying along at the moment. To say we're left with just indie bands is ridiculous.

There's also plenty of less famous ska/punk bands around if you bother to look, which are usually miles better than the rubbish you've listed in the OP.

Aye, but have they really? They put out that weird message about this being their last full tour "til the reunion" but they're not really looking like a split-up band. I asked James if they were splitting at the last Glasgow show, and he really didn't seem to know himself, he sort of muttered a bit and said "You'll see soon enough"... But during the gig, not a peep on the subject. Odd. TO be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they did split, just look at that last tour, failing to sell out King Tuts. First album was amazing, but I don't think they've come close to matching it.

I'd forgotten the Skindred album's out. I don't think any album in history's been more comprehensively toured than Babylon...

Anyway, for other British bands, I give you Hundred Reasons. And Biffy Clyro, but that's not to everyone's tastes.
