Sky Atlantic

Will it cost extra though?

When i first heard of the channel a few months ago, i recall a 10 quid a month buff, but more recent talk is free to sky subbers.

Can't justify anymore than the 50 quid i allready fling at sky every month, not paying a premium on top of a premium for shows they should be flinging on sky1hd.

*slow edit, they say free for now:)

And as ever with Sky there's the rub. Will they expect us to pay extra for a (admittedly good) selection of programs that where shown on US TV 3-4 months ago (by the time the channel launches)?

Boardwalk Empire (First season finished in the US)
Game of Thrones (unaired)
Classic HBO original series The Sopranos and Six Feet Under (yipee repeats of shows we've already seen on C4)
And the rest just seem a mixture of already aired in the US and in the case of Weeds shows that have struggled to find a regular slot on UK TV.

If I have to pay extra I think I'll pass.

It will be free to all variety subscribers and AFAIK will remain that way for a good while, if not forever. I think Sky are expecting it to drive a few subscribers so they'll lump it in with the standard package.
