Sky HD and Multiroom

Hi, we have Sky Multiroom in our house with Sky + box downstaris and a normal Sky Box upstairs.

Would I be able to buy a Sky HD box from a friend and use it on the TV upstairs leaving the Sky+ box downstairs then contact sky and tell them to turn the HD channels on for the £10 a month ?

Yes...

This is also what am running,,,SkyHD upstairs & sky+ downstairs.(£10 month for multi room + £10 for HD sub on top of the normal sky movie package)

I do, £10 a month for loads of HD movies - more channels will follow, but if you like movies and sport, the HD is well worth the money.

You will need to run another cable from your dish to the box upstairs if you wish to use the recording features of the HD box.
