hi peeps,
having trawled through skys website and having no luck i though id fire this question your way........
having moved the living room around the sky+ box is sometimes losing signal/ failing recordings which seems a bit odd as we can view the channels when we flick through the sky guide. in the sky+ set up theres a line 1 and 2..should these both show a signal? currently only line 1 has good signal/quality with 2 being blank.
any help appreciated,
regards,
steve.

My Sky+ box has 1 signal strength, and 1 quality for each of the two connections to the dish. So 4 bars total. All 4 bars should be showing something.

You have reconnected both coax lines? Sky+ needs two separate feeds to allow the viewing(or recording) of two channels at once.

With just 1 line working correctly, you will get recording failers/and or loss of signal whenever the sky+ tries to work with 2 channels at once. For instance watching one, recording another etc.

Whichever starts first normally takes priority, so if your recording, and then start watching another channel, you should get no signal on the one you try and watch, but the recording will work. But if your watching TV and it tries to record, then the recording will fail.
