But u will see on here people are getting discounts for sky hd pack

OK bear with me on this!
We left Sky in September and I just got a few leaflets through the post so I called to find out about the offers we had.

In the end I was offered Sky World (All channels inc Sports and Movies) for £24.12 a month with HD which is a 75% saving
The original price was £13.87 a month excluding HD

I was also offered Sky World (All channels inc Sports and Movies) excluding HD free for 4 months with no contract, just cancel when your 4th month is up! Also a very good deal

So to recap
Sky World (All channels inc Sports and Movies) Inc HD £24.12 a month on a 12 month contract
Sky World (All channels inc Sports and Movies) Excluding HD £13.87 a month on a 12 month contract
OR
Sky World (All channels inc Sports and Movies) Inc HD £10.25 a month no contract for 4 months
Sky World (All channels inc Sports and Movies) Exc HD Free for 4 months!


Was also offered a 2tb Sky+HD box for £49! Why not eh?

Sky will prob ring me today, but not sure if I should go for the 50% off for 12 months, as the other thread update I made entitled me to 75% off

much better deal imo but would be hassle to get!!

When I was growing up, we never had Sky all we had was 4 channels.
Sky was a luxury :)
 
Update: Another call last night, offering the same deal 50% off for 12 months.

Still said no to them and expressed that I require HD, but with a half price discount on the HD fee, as others get this.

It is being cancelled today or tomorrow after nearly 10 years with sky

No more live sports, will have to use the internet more

yikes! I may join up again if they send an offer letter out I would get sky HD :)
 
yep all of it is lost like BBC1 or ITV

I can no longer series record programs either but I still got my PC and windows media player on freeview for all that :)

tis like a RAID1 setup, but only 1 drive atm lol :)

I created this thread last year because I was increasingly agitated with lack of a discount for sky tv. Having been with them for 9 years I decided to cancel my account.

They did ring me up to offer 50% off for 12 months but would not budge on the HD price or provide me with a free HD box

However I am pleased to confirm that I am back with sky. I got a letter in the post giving me 50% off. I rang to investigate this and after some stern negotiating skills I managed to get 50% off for 12 months, £5 for sky HD for 12 months and two free months of sky go extra ( although anyone can get this)

The cost is £32 for sky world HD
Wll probably remove sky movies at some point to drop the price below £30

So if you are reading this and paying over the odds for sky tv
Cancel your account
Take the hit for a month or two and save yourself some money, it really does work!!
 
Got my sky hd box on monday
Sky hd is excellent
Loving the on demand content too already recorded loads of films in HD
Addictive!
 
well this thread really went on and on didn't it....

Well I cancelled my subscription again as they could not meet my current deal, which is 50% off and £5 for HD in total around £33 a month for the sky world HD package.

I told them to cancel it, they said I could ring back 24/7 if I changed my mind and I told them they can ring me if they change their mind and give me the same deal!

I will cancel again and wait for the 50% or 75% offer to come through the post!
 
Cancelled my Sky Subscription again.

Hi all,

I had a great 25 year anniversary deal that was costing me £33 for two HD boxes per month.

When this deal runs out the price would have been £82

No way will I pay that much for sky, so I decided to cancel again last month and my subscription comes to an end today.

The best offer they made was 35%, I told them to call me back once they offer me either 50% or 75% off.

What kind of offers are Sky giving out nowadays? Is there still a chance of 50% or 75% off deals or are these now finished?
