I would threaten to leave. Dont understand why it would be double though. I pay them £20 for my fiber plus around £16 for the line ? I got the first 6 months at the usual £7.50 too, so they have room to budge. Be firm with them, they misquoted.

You either pay them what they agreed or pay nothing at all. If you're asking whether they can advertise £27 so you can sign a contract then actually charge £54, the answer should most certainly be no. Mistakes happen, neither of you should have to pay for it.

Had this when I renewed. Offered half price for my package (what I was already on) for 10 months with no cooling off period, but then when it came to repeating the deal back it was only half price for part of the package and full for the rest. As there was no cooling off period it had to go through management to cancel the contract... who then called me back a week later to offer me the deal I was on originally.

If you're sure you were offered a specific deal which they won't supply now, cancel it.

update to Sky fibre pro for 27 pound plus line rental . now they are telling me they made a mistake and need to charge me double .were do i stand on this

If they want to charge you more than the agreed - you either force them to honour it as they've lured you into it or they offer you a way out, no contract penalties.

Go with PlusNet or the likes, I pay £19.99 (currently £15 for 3 months) + Line Rental (I paid it in one go for discount). Much cheaper for a 72MB Fibre, unlimited.

Oh and that comes with TCB of £100 too, though that's in dispute because PlusNet's middle man are numpties.

That will be £30 ex line rental I'm guessing. But thats sky being sky. I remember when they closed UK Online, they gave everyone 6 months free but in a sly way. They would credit you after x number of months. I had to chase up each time to make sure I got my 6 months free.
But just speak to retentions. Don't mess around with anyone else. They always have the best offers.

I'd say you are in a good position to get more for your money. Given you are looking to take up their services, they'll be just as likely to try and get you on board. (Given you're not yet tied into a contract and can just go elsewhere if needs be)
