So I went to the Isle of Skye for my 30th birthday a few weeks ago, I took my gear with me and tried to get some shots.
I was especially keen to get up to the old man of storr as there had been talk of snow up there - and also because being a Sci-fi fan, i'd heard that Ridley Scott had been filming the upcoming prequel to Alien up there 'Prometheus' a few days before.
I climbed up at 6am and was promptly met by a blizzard and winds that would knock you over - but it blew over pretty quick and got a decent sunrise, it was an absolute nightmare shooting directly into what must have been a 50-60mph wind, but nevertheless;
shot on Linhof 5x4 and 612 panoramic.
