Probably the most exciting year for CPUs for a while with AMD vs Intel. Both sides stepping up the game with great products.

I'd assume that's using LN2 to achieve those sort of clocks, which is great for grabbing headline but what are the real world results via air or water.

The other factor here is the cost to performance ratio which get the point of diminishing returns very quickly unless you are being given them to test.
 
I'm sure one will be cheaper and more cost affective and one will be expensive and more powerful. But seriously, people need to just be patient for the showdown.

It's common to have a reshuffle in strategy when the opposition change up the game, common reactions in all markets.

I don't understand the need to gather presentations and specs and speculate to the extent of calling it a failure with no usage experience, reviews or even their own maturity and the maturity of the product.

Of course many of these are narcissist YouTubers that want the hits, so there's one reason I suppose.

I see nothing worth getting excited about with X299? What specifically are you referring to and how are Intel "stepping up their game" exactly? The only CPUs they have that look half interesting are the 7900X and 7980XE, but not only do they still have significant limitations, it also looks like they're going to get MASSIVELY undercut by Threadripper on price (plus more PCI-E lanes), while offering similar performance, making them the sole purview of the brainless Intel fanboys rather than those consumers who employ sense when it comes to making their purchases.
