Sleeping Dogs - GTA Meets Yakuza?

Just frantically getting the last trophies before GTA and Dragon Age. I honestly feel like this is the better game than GTA, it really deserves some attention if you like GTA games and haven't looked at this. :)
 
I just grabbed the platinum, starting the Year of the Snake DLC, got the plat on the ps3 (was it on PS+?) and enjoyed every minute of playing it again on the PS4.

I agree with the above comment, I enjoyed this a lot more than GTAVI or even V, I'm not saying its a out and out a better game but for some reason once I started I was hooked to the end, with GTAV on the PS3 I played through the story then felt no interest in continuing to play for trophies and just stopped.

I got to that point on the ps3. I have to admit, i bought some suit or something off PSN for about £1.19 (the DLC was on sale at the time) to get this. I was determined to get it but worked out i'd have to replay almost every mission of the game to do it

I only needed to reply the fist 3 missions wearing 15% triad bonus clothing and I was done, guess it depends where you were when you finished I was at Triad level 9 and the half way to 10.

Even though I'd still say GTA 5 was the better game mainly for the content and characters, I probably had more fun playing Sleeping Dogs, Saints row 3+4. Those are my only 3 platinums.
 
With regards to the level 10 Triad, it's not as hard as it looks. Basically even though 3 triangles is the maximum rating the actual numeric number can go sky high. Have a look at the social hub against the world scores and replay where the biggest discrepancy to you score lies (even if you have a three triangle rating). When playing against unarmed opponents use the "Dim Mak" you get for getting all jade statues and the bone cruncher moves (grapple, square, hold square) every other turn. If there armed opponents then disarm them if you can or head shot otherwise for maximum points.

Just the two main DLC'S for me to do. Loved the Wheels of Fury and Trial of the Zodiac DLC integrated into the main campaign.
 
Just got this on PS4 and it's unplayable due to a sound bug that ruins the game. All the voices are really quiet out the front speakers but really loud out the rear. It makes conversations a nightmare as half of it cannot be heard.

My only option is to force stereo which tbh is not much better.
 
I'm playing the ps4 versions and their is some sound bug, I also noticed during the club bam mission and you use a automatic weapon to fend on 18k members the gun fire gets stuck in a loop and I ended up missing an entire cut scene audio so erm yesh missed some if he story plot due to that.

Also. The game is pretty tricky to win combat if you don't watch out. But does make it more satisfying when you finally beat a mission.. The game can be a challenge that's for sure...
 
I didn't encounter any sound bugs like you describe iv-tecman when I played the PS4 version. However boat sounds would sometimes stop when you were out at sea.

On a different note this was my first Platinum trophy. Fantastic game, really enjoyed it and would highly recommend anyone picking up the definitive edition.

Yeah I noticed the speed boat sound disappeared on me...

Still yes it's a good game. Recommended
