SLI 680's with 3*27" 3D monitors.

Beautiful m8 makes me want to add 2 more now.
What's grade b items? From overclockers?
I have a flimsy sli bridge if u would like it, and it helps.
One word AWESOME!!!!!

Cheers bud and on my searching of the B Grade section for a cheap GPU for a poster, I stumbled across 2 monitors the same as my original one and they were £100 cheaper each. That is the reason I made the jump to 3 screens. I had never bought from the B Grade section before but can honestly say I will again as they are perfect (I am sure one is brand new though).

Stupidly in my haste of ripping boxes open, I was kindly informed by Optima that the MSI Lightning comes with a flimsy SLI bridge and it should be in the box. Afetr I checked the box and see it staring me in the face, I have since swapped the GPU's over and added the new bridge.

Very kind offer cheers :)

Why don't you change the cooler on your evga instead of changing gpu-while taking a gamble on a not so good as you have clocker?

The AC's are quite popular with the 6 series and cheaper/less hassle than what you'd lose selling your gpu.

Temps are good now I have the cards swapped over. Been hot the last couple of days and after putting quite an aggressive fan profile, it sits nicely around 55c and 50c. I will be purchasing a side fan for my case.

Blowing in or out? I would assume in to blow on the GPU's?

No no no.
We will get him to WC the whole system next! ;)
The wife will love it!
Sorry to ask again, I'm being stupid b grade section on the overclockers website store?

That was my plan prior to getting this rig but now it is a distant memory... Water cooling I will probably do on my next purchases (haswell/880)

So I decided I would like to have nvidia 3d vision and today I been looking for monitors/tv's.

But from what I been reading the tv's can't do more than 24fps and the monitors don't come bigger than a 27"

I like to play on a 32"-40" screen when gaming and just wondered do you know of any tv's or monitors that can do the 3d properly in this size?

Sorry to say but at the moment, I believe 27" is the biggest I am sure things will change in a year or so though. Big movements happening in the TV department, so it has to come to the monitors I would guess.

Something like that. TVs are rubbish.

+1 except Mal's TV.

wow Gregster. That's what? About £3300 in monitors and GPUs?

Looks awesome though. How's 3D Vision Surround?

Awsome but a lil wasted unless you spend most of the time looking around. So much space is taken up and I still find I focus on the middle screen too much.

£2200 for the screens and GPU's and worth it IMO. I don't think I could go back to single screen gaming now unless they bring a super wide screen monitor out.

Awesome stuff, I love mine...

I watched your vids bud and that was basically what sold me. Your setup is fantastic :)

Know any good sites for wallpaper? Most of what I have seen is a lil naff.

Ref cards are great for SLI. I was running an EVGA+LTG with the Ref EVGA at the bottom and temps were very good. I love my 3D screens but that isn't for everyone. I would like to see 1440 screens with 120Hz. I am sure they are not far off.

I am pretty sure you can do voltage adjustment on any of the 680s but requires the Art Money hack. I wouldn't advise this route though unless you are going to keep the cards under water. Temps can get hot quicky when you start pumping volts through.

The LTGs will not throttle back when temps get hot, so helps for constant fps.

Quick update on testing the new 313.95 drivers and I am extremely impressed. All games feel smooth and this includes Far Cry 3. All settings were maxed out and I mean maxed out, except were indicated.

I only used 2*MSAA in Far Cry 3 and forgot to add that on the bench marks (sorry for the confusion). AC3 shows low fps but this is one of those games that feels very smooth. No stutter of lag, just nice and smooth.

Edit:

Oops, updated the wrong thread but all good. I will add my other bench results also for anyone interested.

Did some 3D only testing today and very impressed with Batman AC. The game looks stunning and very smooth. Far Cry 3 is poor in 3D, closely followed by AC3. I was quite surprised by Civilization V, which I did more so for fun and it looked prettty good. I wouldn't choose to play this game in 3D as a rule but across 3 screens, it looked very nice.
