SLI 680's with 3*27" 3D monitors.

Tbf though, the game still looks pretty decent even with a few settings below max. Im looking to upgrade my monitor, unsure as to wether to go for a higher res screen, or a 1080 120Hz model. Either way ill be adding another 670 wf, (albeit theyre still rather expensive) and cooling could be a problem. Current card is a fantastic clocker, but i kinda wish id went for a reference cooled 680 pcb model now, such as the evga FTW, much easier to keep cooler than wf cards.

Ref cards are great for SLI. I was running an EVGA+LTG with the Ref EVGA at the bottom and temps were very good. I love my 3D screens but that isn't for everyone. I would like to see 1440 screens with 120Hz. I am sure they are not far off.

Im holding out for that as well, 1080/1200 was a high res a few years ago, pretty much the norm now. Had reference gtx 470's previously in my old i7 920 setup, much cooler running than the wf 460's in my 2nd x58 rig. Had to ditch sli in that machine as the cards were hitting 98-89c respectively at stock, 70c max on the known to be much hotter running overclocked 470's.

See you have two lightnings now, are theese the only nv 6 series cards that allow voltage adjustment without hard mods or bios flashing? It's something that is seriously missed on this nv generation.

I am pretty sure you can do voltage adjustment on any of the 680s but requires the Art Money hack. I wouldn't advise this route though unless you are going to keep the cards under water. Temps can get hot quicky when you start pumping volts through.

The LTGs will not throttle back when temps get hot, so helps for constant fps.

Quick update on testing the new 313.95 drivers and I am extremely impressed. All games feel smooth and this includes Far Cry 3. All settings were maxed out and I mean maxed out, except were indicated.

I only used 2*MSAA in Far Cry 3 and forgot to add that on the bench marks (sorry for the confusion). AC3 shows low fps but this is one of those games that feels very smooth. No stutter of lag, just nice and smooth.

Edit:

Oops, updated the wrong thread but all good. I will add my other bench results also for anyone interested.

I would think about multiscreen but the black bars in the middle are so ****!

Wonder if theyll make screens for multiscreen only that dont have them bars?

I got one of these monitors last week and for the life of me, can't get the settings right.

It's way too bright and has a blue tinge to it. I think it's the led lighting that's causing it and not only that, it's giving me headaches.

Will take a while to get used to it I guess.

Let us know Gregster what settings you have as I find that the gamma is wrong in nearly all the presets. I know that it may not help but just as a guide please.

It does 3d very well though I must admit.
