Hi Guys,

I currently run the BFG GeForce 8800 GTS and two monitors off it.
however I have been at times unplugging one and connecting to my 38 1080p Samsung TV. So i was thinking now of getting another 8800 GTS card which would give me 4 DVI connections, will this then allow me to use 4 monitors?

Thanks for any advice.

Yes you will be able to do that, but not under sli. The cards will have to be separate.
Just have to make sure you have another pci-e 16 slot.

thanks for the advice, incase its not clear its to have 3 LCDs.

1 + 2) 1280 x 1024 , used for working (web dev, lllustrator etc)
3) My 1080p 38inch TV - Used to pay the games on at 1920 x 1080.

But i dont want to have to keep unplugging monitor cables like i do at the moment, and messing up windows each time. So i can if you like have a game on one screen, then spin around and work on the other 2 and vice versa.

So you still think its worth using the 8800 GTS on the 1080p, and get another cheaper card for *** two working desktops?

thanks guys.

Depends what type of work you do. If you require a decent graphics card for rendering and such, then you would need 2 pretty decent cards, 1 for work, one for gaming. If your work is just general desktop usage/word etc, then yes, get a cheapy card for the 2 monitors, and use the 8800 with the tv
