hi

i received the SSD (M255 64GB) few weeks ago

at first the benchmark with atto was like 130mb/180mb (write/read) which i was extremely happy

but now it's at 60mb/130mb (write/read) :(

i know SSD slow down after a while, i know there is a way to get the performance back but i dont know how :(

running xp pro with sp3

cheers

Yeah I thought I had a problem with my drive too. Use a program like wiper and your performance will come back. I'm just waiting for the trim fw to come out to save from running wiper every so often.

no it shouldnt wipe everything, just brings the drive's performance back. It more or less clears the empty blocks. Have a read at the forum or even in the Crucial hdd thread on this forum.

better than before :)

i think 130mb/130mb (write/read) is the max limited from my motherboard (Asrock 2core-sata2)

is there any more thing i can tweak to get faster?

thanks

you're board doesnt have different ports does it?
I know on a previous mobo i had some of the sata ports were storage, some RAID and some 'primaries'
not sure if they had different throughputs though
