Slow ps3 download speeds

We have 20mb virgin and on the xbox 360 the download speeds are fairly fast, not max speed but quick enough. With the ps3, it takes hours to get a demo off the store. I know it cant be the store because other people dont seem to have problems.
Has anyone here got a fix for this?

This thread was created a couple of days ago so you should post in there really as your query is the same.

Interestingly the other 2 guys in that thread with issues were with Virgin Media 20MB service too.

Is there any Ps3 owners out there on Virgin who get fast download speeds? Just to clarify and help identify where the problem may be?
