Hi

I have a bit of a dilemma at the moment.
First off - Hardware

Creative XFI - Gamer
Sennheiser HD 595's
Crap 2.1's with no additional inputs (gonna get some Aego's)
Xbox 360

I want to be able to use my Senn's or speakers while playing the 360 (sound is distorted when using the line in on the XFI and cannot turn it down due to Vista and not being able to use some XFI functions), want to be able to listen to music on the PC on headphones or speakers - ALL WITHOUT having to plug an unplug darn cabling.

The solution should not take up a lot of space or cost a lot of money.

Am I looking for the holy grail - or can it easily be done?

Thanks!

edit: Darned be tabbed browsing - was supposed to post this in Sound City section :p

the older speedlink medusa 5.1 earduffs had an amp breakout box for jackplugs.
you plug the jackbox into your soundcard then the speakers and head set into the amp.
i believe the current medusa's are usb though so you'd have to source one secondhand maybe?

If your looking for a small amp, which does not sound bad at all,
the Denon UD-M31 has served my needs for the past 5years. no idea if its still made or anything, but shows that even if the amp is small it doesnt need to sound crap...

Why oh Why did I throw my old Medusas away :(
I remember now - actually using the converter cables that come with it, so I can use my pc speakers on the 360 :(
