Small blue cameras?

Hi, dont know if this is a noobish question,

I was driving on a country road A65 from M6 to Skipton north yorkshire, and there were small blue ,what appeared to be permanent fixed cameras pointed at the road. Are these speed cameras?, as after quick look on google could'nt find out what they were,

Any ideas??

I have a feeling the ones your talking about are to do with traffic.

Pretty sure they are traffic, I've sped past blue cameras that look like cctv cameras attached to poles and bridges on the A127, never got a fine or anything lol.

Did it look something like this?

If so, it's a Trafficmaster camera, not a speed camera.
