Smoked/Tinted Lights

I was thinking of looking into smoked/tinted lights but Google hasn't been much help.

Does anyone happen to know the current UK laws on it?

And how would it actually be done? It looks like less of a swap job and more of a coating/spray type affair?

Any website recommendations would be great

They fail an MOT by the way. I bought some pre-smoked lenses for mine off of eBay for about £25, nice straight swap

You could get a daytime MOT though.

Then you would need to remove the lights, if its got them apparently they need to work for MOT
But daylight MOT's on bikes seem to be a grey area nobody seems to give a straight answer...

Yep it stupid :/
Most think no lights bar the rear brake then there are others that say if there are any lights then it has to have all of them too :s
