Hi all,

I have a SN550 as my boot/windows drive and a 870 QVO as my game drive.

I've seen the SN850 1TB new for £97, is it worth picking it up, having it as my boot drive, then the SN550 as my game drive and the QVO 870 as a general storage drive?

I don't need extra space, just wondering.if.i would see a more snappy, faster PC in general startup, apps loading etc

Also I'm running a 5800x, B550 Strix-F
Cheers

You probably won't notice a difference in boot times, benchmarks and tests will show a faster speed but day to day usage once you're on an SSD or above no real difference in 'perceived' speeds.

Not worth the effort imo.... I'm struggling to notice the difference between sata and nvme gen 4 ssd's in day to day stuff.

Larger file transfers are a little different obviously but you're capped by the drives there anyway.
