Its been snowing around here for about 4-5hours now, nothing to bad in my opinion, only started sticking about 3hours ago. Now everyone is panicing and people are getting sent home early, fair anough if they are living in the valleys, but people around by me are coming home early as well. Just had a txt of the head doorman nowand the manager isnt having any doorstaff on because he isnt expecting none of the bar staff to turn up etc, and this is in swansea (not far from me) and the roads aint that bad. Getting in to work will be easy for me and most people around this area.

Bit of snow and everything comes to a stop, however to the people of canada survive when they have snow. Its quite funny how much trouble this snow has caused.

The past couple of days i've actually gotten to work quicker than normal! The main roads have been fine, back roads are a tad slippy but as long as your drive carefully you will be fine.

I see people doing 5mph on roads which have no snow and are just wet and it gets on my nerves a tad. Especially with 4x4 drivers going slower than everyone else. Yes, drive to the conditions but dont drive like a tit, you will just end up causing more problems!

I got sent home to the Valleys from Cardiff. I think they didn't want to fork out on hotel rooms and the like if the trains got cancelled as they've cut off the A470 already.

Here in Stoke this is the thickest downfall we've had and I'm getting worried that I won't be able to gig with my band tonight.

The city is clear just driven through it, up in the Staffs Moorlands though its really come down, main roads are covered already up here.. Now this is what i call snow, not the small amount we had the other day that closed all the schools around here. Its double that amount already :)

I'm at Smallthorne tonight so hopefully it won't be too bad.
I think the school my wife teaches at (Heron Cross) was the only school open yesterday and we had about 1mm of snow.

Its more than just a little snow.. our business park closed at 2:30pm today and about 1000 employees went home. The roads just ice rinks.. there were 2 minor collisions i saw just walking back home about 1/2 mile..

Apparently its this is the worst snowfall the birmingham areahas had in about 12 years.. And its certainly the worst snow ive seen for at least 10.

That's near me. It's getting really bad for driving. Even on heavily used side roads.

Where are you playing? Wondering if it's the pub just up the road (Green Star). :D

People always complain about snow here. They're lucky they don't live in NY right now. 100" is a bit much. :p
