Hi.
Ive been listening to a lot of my older Snow Patrol albums lately, and im unsure what one i would consider as the best one of the bunch.

Whats all your opinions?

Best album?
Best track?
General opinion on Snow Patrol?
 
Snow Patrol are one of those bands that have 3 good tracks per album.

You hear a single on the radio and think they must be amazing, then buy the album and realise they're average.

Have to disagree with you there mate, snow patrol are are very good band in my opinion, there latest album being superb I thought.



Oh, Track 6 ( you could be happy ) latest album is simple and stunning

Would also have to disagree with you mate. I've only got Final Straw and Eyes Open, and i love pretty much every song on both albums, bar a couple
 
Chasing Cars, Eyes Open and It's Beginning To Get To Me always put a smile on my face.

The other songs on the album are still great, but the above are my favourites.

Who's going to see them at the NIA in November?

I've got to dissagee with you there, you hear a single on the radio and think they are rubbish, you hear the album and it proves they are rubbish. ;)
 
Best song is Run. I heard this just after the Final Straw had come out and just KNEW is was going to be a big hit. I'm sure i wasn't the only one at the time that had never heard of Snow Patrol.
 
On the new album, the best song for me is Set The Fire To the Third Bar. I love the vocal combo of the male/female voices, just beautiful. Hands Open is the next best.

Overall it's a more rounded album than final Straw, but FS has the better individual tracks, Run, Spitting Games etc.
 
Im just waiting for the following excuses by people:
-Their old stuff was better.
-Its an age thing.
-Band x are better.
ect;

Ive seen them live at the Manchester Ritz, and they were stunning. Best concert ive been to.

I think Snow Patrol are a marmite band. Those who like them, really like them, and those who dont...
 
yeah seen them a few time live, and i must say they are pretty good, i don't like all there stuff, but do enjoy them live.

Gonna have to agree with you there :D!
I don't like them really, I wouldn't listen to their album more than once and their songs get boring quickly (for me). Still, I wouldn't start complaining if they were on in a friends car or anything, they're not a bad band :] there is worse.
 
I'll be honest here, I got a hold of the new album and was very impressed. It's a great collection of tracks. Damn you for bumping this thread and making me back pedal.
