I've been watching X1800XT prices for a few weeks now. I recently upgraded from a 1.3 GHz Athlon to an Athlon X2 3800+ (which overclocks nicely to 2.6 GHz). I've been planning to upgrade my Geforce4 Ti4200 (don't laugh) to an X1800XT. However, I'd been intending to wait to order one until I return home from a business trip in two weeks' time. I didn't really want to order a card that I wouldn't be able to get my hands on for two weeks, especially if I could have ordered the same card cheaper had I waited.
I left it too late to order any of the X1800XTs that were on clearance yesterday. I notice that on "this week only", there's still an X1800XT 256Mb available at £187.94 and there's a 512Mb available at £234.94. Are these remaining X1800XTs likely to be reduced to clearance prices? Are OcUK going to receive further stocks of X1800XTs or is it the case that once these are gone, they're gone?
In other words, should I:
1. Buy an X1800XT now?
2. Wait and hope that X1800XTs will still be available in 2 weeks time?
3. Buy an X1900XT in 2-3 weeks time (assuming they'll be a little cheaper by then)?
