Not that I contribute to such threads (but I do read them with interest!) I give a casual nod to this.

To be fair I do see the OP's point, More gardening posts would happen than there has been with the boat forum, Not that I would chime in there though!

Theres already posts/threads about gardening in the food subforum - seems logical to have both or perhaps expand the reach of the food forum to include 'grow your own'. TBH Id rather see one busy subforum than 2 dead ones...

I think that if you add too many subforums you run the risk of having loads of almost deserted sections. Pistonheads is a good example of this.

just delete the on the water crud and replace it with gardening.

I think we need a bit more digging to find out what has gone on, it seems we are in a bit of a pickle about our beloved gardening subforum. Hopefully we find the root of the problem.

I'm not sure we need a gardening forum (yes, I'm aware it was an April Fools anyway) - too many small sub-forums spoil the broth, so to speak. Saying that, 'On the Water' is far more redundant and yet is still here for some bizarre reason, so if you were going to lose one, then surely it would have been an obvious choice???

I don't understand why we don't have a gardening sub-forum to be honest. I mean, it's not as if gardening is unpopular, most people need to do it.
