Hi all

Posting here as there ain't many in bike forum.

I ebayed my zx10r and got a ok price last night. I stipulated £100 deposit via paypal and the rest cash on collection. I ebayed it as i was unsure what people would pay as she high miles

The person who won was a first time bidder on the bike after several others failed to get it who had been bidding against each other....

The problem i have is the buyer (who has 174 feedback) has not contacted me or replied to my emails.. i believe he has 4 days by ebays rules. To me it's just plain rude, why spend 3k on a bike then not even have the decency to reply to me.

I have the other bidders in the auction already mailing me to settle outside of ebay or second chance offer.

Am i allowed to second chance offer a item that is unpaid ?, or do i have to wait.

Cheers for any advice in advance... i have a feeling someone clicked buy who doesn't have the money or is just on the wind up (they have a dam strange name)

hum and a email arrives...........

'Hi there, I bidded on this bike last night on behalf of my friend (which I'll never do again!) - he was buying it for his 25 year old son. He just got a quote on it today for insurance purposes and they wont insure (or the quote was more than the bike). I do apologise, I hope I havent wasted your time and hope that you can sell this on to another buyer. I am happy to do a mutual agreement for you. And once again apologise for any inconvenience. Regards and apologies.'

DONUT!!!!!!!!!!

yep already on it, transaction cancelled and second chanced to someone who's keen....

gotta love dreamers and tyre kickers

Thats the problem with ebay, when i was buying my bike i saw numerous people who had been messed around and had to relist it. Good luck with the sale anyway :)

I didn't realise you were selling m8, taking time off two wheels for a wee bit or buying a new ride?.

hopefully just for the winter (first winter off a bike in over 20 years), bike had to go as with 36k on the clock it's time to sell :(
