Hey all,

I finally got round to getting the STi remapped after owning it for over 2 years now. I previously ran at Powerstation in October 2009, where I got 330bhp and 280lb/ft torque with simply the PPP and my exhaust system. Graph below:

Yesterday I had the car mapped by RaceDynamix who does Opensource tuning as opposed to your usual ECUtek that most Subarus go for. I found the whole experience great fun. The mapper dialled in the wastegate control, boost targets etc, whilst going back and forth up a nice stretch of road until he was happy with where it was left.

So, fast forward to today, and a tank of fuel later, I'm at Powerstation for a power run. Below is the graph:

I made 372bhp and 335lb/ft torque, whilst being about 0.1 bar off the target boost! I believe thats around 110bhp over stock :D I tried to do a quick and very rough overlay of the two results just so you can see the gains and that is below:

At first I didn't really feel the gains if I'm honest, but that was probably due to blasting it up and down a dual carriage way all morning, but since then boy have I noticed the difference, it pulls so much harder and cleaner! And there's some lovely pops and bangs on the overrun!

As always I took the liberty of making a video whilst at Powerstation (that's all my youtube channel is full of!)

And a quick dash up a slight incline

Just thought I'd share. Thanks for looking !

So standard STIs are 265bhp and you've got 370+ - what max BHP is the factory turbo rated for?

I would have thought pushing over 100bhp more would severly reduce the life expectancy of the standard turbo.

Either way its a nice boost, you'll enjoy that.

Brilliant. Watching that speedo climbing that fast I honestly can't think why anyone would need to go that fast let alone faster on something thats used on public roads, and thats coming from someone that enjoys a spot of spirited driving now and again.
I hope your very happy with it and you aren't gonna try chasing more power.

Reminds me of 8am every morning when some guy powers his subaru up the street

Me too, what a fantastic sound :D Those people should think themselves lucky, get out of bed and stop being so lazy :p

Recording yourself doing just over a ton? Nice one ;)

Huh i think you will find that is a private runway ... unless of course you can prove otherwise ??? nice one !!!

Really good results Kosta, very nice :)

HUH WHAAAAA :confused::p

BAN ALL FAST CARS ON OUR ROADS, CHILD KILERRZZZZ !!! Thats quick but i assure you theres far quicker cars on the roads. I dont think i need to explain to you why you would want something that fast, ill let you work it out yourself.

I also hope you are very happy with it kosta and hope you are going to try and chase some more power :D

Very nice, a friend of mine is looking at selling his 05 STi PPP very soon and videos like that make it a very tempting prospect. I don't think I could live with that noise every day though.

A standard or PPP exhaust will be nowhere near as loud as that :) They are very quiet standard, just that the world and their dog fit huge exhausts as soon as they buy one normally.

That's pretty impressive if it's just a remap and exhaust system.

lol i can always hear father inn law in his think ihs is about same as your performance wise and his is black . hes had four or five now try and get some shots up when see him. i actually used to like the smaller version better also seemed a little quicker to me

And how is Duncan these days? Did you get to see his car? It's a pretty fearsome weapon itself.

I'm losing track: what's been done to your car apart from PPP and remap?
