...and to relax and "free" my mind, i went in the garage and polished my car

Anybody else find cleaning their car relaxing/theraputic?

;):p

I love and hate it but do not do it for relaxation lol ;) I love getting results but hate how long it takes and how quickly its ruined by my lane I live down.

You got a DAP back? ;)

The only way i clean my car is to go a drive and find a puddle. Or wait for rain and go a drive, both are as effective as eachother.

Whats the interview for? good luck :)

Good luck, polishing my car does my head in usualy because my sister keeps yorping on about how I need to hurry up.. so she can wash her car :o

i only just got an outside tap + hose pipe, makes washing the car soo much easier than buckets so i do quite enjoy it now.

It's great. I've found the car has to be mint though or i'll just not be interested. I'm not polishing mine till the dent on my rear wing is sorted on the 24th April.

I always get odd looks though from neighbours when I spend 3-4hrs on the car:p

Same - today was my last day before I really have to focus on revision and stuff so I spent the afternoon going over the car with a few Autoglym bits.

You mean you're actually pantsing it and cleaning the car was a suitable distraction :p

Sometimes I find washing the dishes helps.

I used to wash my Z750 all the time, I just can't help but see the Fazer differently... it's more of a tool I think, I'm not as 'in love' with it as I was with the Zed. I don't suppose it helps that it has war wounds. I should have washed it today but I couldn't be bothered :( It's filthy, I'm a bad owner.

If I know the weather is going to be good and I have a free day then I quite look forward to waking up early and doing a full wash, polish and wax of the car, then valeting the inside. However like this morning, I new it needed doing so I just gave it a "quick" (hour and a half) wash to make it shiny again as I couldn't be arsed to do a concourse clean.

nah, washing the colt is a pain in the ass. Even in perfect conditions it will need washing again within 3 or 4 days, in poor conditions it will be dirty again by the end of the road, black cars suck for this. Also there is the fact that the bodywork isn't in fantastic shape so when finished you can't really stand back and think to yourself 'yeah, thats awesome'. The 300zx on the other hand I have no problem spending hours cleaning, but then the finish is pretty flawless and the end result is quite satisfying. There is also the fact that it only gets washed once in a blue moon to clean the dust away :/
