But the question is ....

will my SLI'ed up 7300gts (ddr3) be able to play the game? What are my options - and if it plays will it run ok(ish)

you can probably play it on lowish settings...but honestly your best bet is to upgrade your GPU to at least something like a x1950pro

Well if it doesn't there's some pretty cheap cards out currently and with the launch of the 2900Pro later this month you could get a high end card for a nice price.

Not sure about your current setup but I'd imagine 2 7300GT's should be alright at what low/medium? (If the game works well with SLI)

Let's be honest will it really though i have most games yet all i play is cs source and pes6 online.

Decent rig except the graphics cards. If the cards are too slow for Crysis, you could get a 2900Pro, as they look like awesome value.

I enjoy gaming , however recently i have been more entertained by using my motorbike, bike and generally going out - now its turning colder, i seem to become more 'nocturnal'

I chose the 7300gt at the time as it is as good as the 7600gt plus i have 2! For the money one year ago, it simply couldnt be beat! :)

Now i just wanted peoples opinions of crysis and what i should maybe move to ; i guess the answer is a cheap 8800 320meg ???

The 7300GT's even with GDDR3 memory are still not near a 7600GT in terms of performance. Although they were pretty good for the price.

Personally I would hold out until the HD2900pro is released at least to see whether any of the prices of the current cards will drop. You could also wait until crysis is released, try it on your cards and see whether it plays ok fr your liking. I say this because you may find you don't acually like crysis (shock horror this is possible) and upgrading just for that game would have been a waste.
