Got bored of inputting data into spss for my dissertation so went for a walk this afternoon with my d70. Any C&C welcome.

Yeh. Bit annoyed with the blurry clouds. Didn't do much post processing, wanted to see quick results as I'm impatient :p

Take some more closer shots of the first, get arty! :D
The second is great :)
The third you could have taken as a RAW file and then created the HDR files from that, eliminating the cloud movement - something to try :)

Good first attempt although I'm more a fan of a more subtle HDR effect used to bring out detail. They're a bit cartoony looking although still good shots.

'lo i reckon the second pic is fab, but i think u have 'middle page syndrome' try placing the main attraction in the photo to perhaps say a quarter of the way from any sides, the reason i feel the second works so well is that the angle of the actual photo is unual but also the angle of the building, it really does give a sense that i want to walk up to the building or around it, where as for example the first one has only have one direction that u could really go.
and yes i deffo agree wilth helium_junkie, that yeah get more arty, and deffo get some close ups, looks at some details as a focus perhaps, but it seems u like the land scape to, so maybe try the subject on one side with landscape to the side :D i hope i am useful to you

(btw because i'm new here i never seen other photos so apologies if u do these things anyway, i just like analysing photos for my self anyway because i teach myself at th same time :) )

oh and the other thing about the second that i reallly love, it looks like the building i really impacting on the sky because of all the blue space at the top, and then the clouds dispersing outwards, hope you didn't have to wait long for that to happen!

Cheers for the all the C&C guys, really appreciate it. I'll try some more arty ones next time, I might even try an hdr of the forth bridges if the weathers good one night, I reckon that might be interesting.

Got to say I agree with that, they all look a bit like Screenshots for a new FPS to me, I love HDR when it's used to bring out the sky in a shot but not to keen on this application. Still they are good shots and the subjects look well worthy of some further exploration.
