So I went for dinner at Gordon Ramsey at Claridges

You had to go and pop the flash up at a restaurant didnt you? DIDNT YOU?!

I've been to Gordon Ramsey's for their afternoon menu and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Not only is Claridges an amazing setting, the food was superb.

A lot of people knocking it, but won't appreciate it until they dig deep and try it. It's all about the experience. Infact, as it was my birthday they made me a cake and I got a tour of the kitchen by the maitre d.

when i went i felt the food wasn't that amazing, not for the price. but the service and setting were indeed lovely. but i don't think i would go again unless for a special occasion where i wanted to take my lady some where very nice

Me and the wife went to London for a few days and decided to treat ourselves and have Dinner at Ramseys. I've never been to anywhere like this before but thought I'd love to try it at least once to see if the food was really that special.
And I can say that is wasn't just special, it was absolutely out of this world and it wasn't just the food, the whole experience was amazing.

We plumped for the 6 course taster menu to experience as many flavours as possible

For a once in a lifetime experience I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Doesn't seem that expensive.

Here's where I go from time to time

Notice it's closed at the weekends ;)

Lunch is a great price and you get amuse bouches which before and after each course so really it's 7 courses.

I'm not much into wine and have to work in the afternoon.

Very nice atmosphere.

i went a few weeks ago for lunch, £30 for a three course.

Received a nice amuse bouche, had a nice bottle of red, then coffee for afters.

£125 for two, thought it was quite good, the food was very good and the service excellent.

If you are ever in london again there is another restaurant where i know the owner through my sister, my sister knows the owner. It is expensive, but not as expensive as that. I went out with my mom for her bday when it first opened, it cost about £80 and we had steak each with all the extras etc.

Still the best steak I have had in the uk.

I went to one of those restaurants in South Africa two years ago. A 400g sirloin for about £8! The London restaurants aren't quite as good value for money however.

The Meat Co. is a South African chain (They are literally everywhere down there) and not a great one at that..

There is a very good place in central London, called Goodman or Goodman's I think (Maddox St?) Really good steak for the UK.
