The other day, i got the dreaded laser failure on my ps3... (great) so i decided to try and sell it, and luckily enough i had a buyer.

just a quick question, what price should i be looking for, for a 360 with the 60gb HDD? or whats the best price you guys have seen?

Thanks in advance.

Why dont you want to get a replacement PS3?

because sony were being ***holes with me. and would not for the life of them send out a replacement, unless i paid for it. the amount of people on here without receipts who either got it fixed for free, or replaced, i thought i'd have a chance. but they just downright refused. i know it seems a bit ***** trying to get it done for free, but its barely a year old.

You are going to have a fun time with your 360 then if you hate sending things back for repair. :D

i thought the 360's have got better with their hardware? i sold my original 360 for the ps3 in the first place and i had no problems with it. im not sure how its doing now. i think the guy i sold the ps3 to is just buying a new drive and fitting it.

edit: its not the fact i hate sending things back for repair. i love it :p its just im in need of a helping hand and sony just say no way, we arent doing a thing for you under warranty. and to think ive owned all their consoles :( i feel let down..

I'd go to a shop and buy an arcade 360 to insure you get a 12.1A 150 watt power supply jasper model it's the latest one and less likely to suffer from RROD.

Unless anyone can confirm a 60gb model being a jasper

You can get an arcade these days for £130 with a decent game.

Then I would buy a 20/60/120 hard drive second hand from a certain computer parts shop they give 12 months warranty on the drives.

wicked. thanks for the reply. i can easily afford that with the money i got from the ps3 and the games. i might see if members market have any HDD's going, always worth a try.

edit: thanks kdd, so am i best asking to check the psu? and what am i looking for? :p

I duuno but the laser repair kit is between 50-70 for a DIY kit, so its up to you i would have thought repair it yourself it its out of warranty then sell for more money. That would be the best idea if you want to get rid and get a 360 TBH.

indeed.. now thinking about it that would have been the best idea but i got 99 for it so im happy, its had a year of harsh use :)

i didnt really have the time to repair it myself unfortunately.. im a new daddy :p

You are looking at the back hole in the box where you can see 12.1 A on the power sticker anything above that wont be a jasper.

As for all new 360's being Jasper that is not true you can ask to look at 60gb models and you may get one though.

I got mine from that high st shop and the guy even opened it up for me so I could check.
