Online games: CoD4/MW2 and Halo: Reach are probably the most played shooters - along with Gears of War 2; Project Gotham Racing - more aracdey than Forza, but good fun online.
Other excellent single player games are Just Cause 2 (open world, fantasic graphics, run around blow stuff up kinda fun); Dragan Age: Origins I reckon you'll like this if you liked WoW; Batman AA (my top game of 2009); Dead Space (fantastic horror suvival)... probably lost more others have/can name
Two player - as someone else said, the Lego games are great fun for all ages (I'm 32)
