On the wagon, sorta
sitting in my back room on my pc in the dark looking out into the dark night across some tree scattered stretches of open ground watching the relentless fall of snow covering everything in sight thinking about how harsh it would be to be out in it, it made me think of Band of Brothers more specifically the epic episodes of the winter battle in the woods.

Thought id share as it reminded me how well the show portrayed the harsh and brutally severe reality of what the men went through, brilliant show and just in time to bring it to the front of my mind, i watch it every Christmas, a little bit of a ritual for me.
nearly 10 years old and still some of the best acting and cinematic experience money can buy.

Yes the snow is bad in newcaslte, and im drunk as well :D

I thought band of brothers was a stunning piece of film making.

I agree that there was some, dark, and hopelessness in those episodes where the snow is slowly falling.

Been promising myself a re-watch of Band Of Brothers for a while now. Those episodes in the snowy forests were indeed awesome and standout most in my memory of the series, although every episode was a masterpiece imo!

Wish it was snowing here,it's just cold and foggy, more Sherlock Holmes than Band Of Brothers.

Watch the film Stalingrad, you can get Frostbite from just watching it if you're not careful ;)

will have to watch Stalingrad, though will be watching BoB before hand, have 9 days off over Christmas and have some epic marathons planned!

Just got an idea for a new thread!!!

This fog is making me think of the John Carpenter film of the same name. Basil Rathbone in Sherlock Holmes Hound Of The Baskervilles too!

Not a single flake in Coventry :(

Bastogne is a wonderful and brutal part of BoB, makes me cold just thinking about it

that looks ****d-up, really man the trailer makes that look very twisted and jumpy. or am i too drunk?

you got what i was going for.

It's an unusual premise for sure and I suppose you could call it twisted and jumpy, but it's so much more than that,I found it to be a very touching film,it's as much a Love story as it is a horror film. I won't spoil it for you though,i'd stick it on the 'to watch list' if I were you mate.
