28 days ago I got the VM back (moved to sky from VM 4MB for cheapness) modem and WRT54GL v1.1 in the post, I got home from work, hooked it up, flashed to Thibor 15c and left it at that.

It has been on since and I only have one thing to say about it!

That's with 2 wireless users and 2 wired users being online daily.

What a refreshing change after having Sky ADSL for a few months and having to reboot the router almost daily!

There's HyperWRT, HyperWRT+Thibor, DD-WRT, Tomato, OpenWRT...etc!

I like HyperWRT though because it keeps the Linksys GUI and adds the extra features that DD/Tomato etc have within that GUI :)

I just don't like change! ¬_¬

Your Tomato appears to have some different features to HyperWRT though - not bad! tempted to try it out but I have a peachy system here so might just leave as is :D

That’s what I thought at first, just looked exactly like the Linksys GUI :p:D

I'll have a read on that one; I’ve just played attention to the Tomato ones tbh, any good features worth mentioning?

You've probably got all the features I have through Thibor really, the differences I can spot on your screeny though is separate system and connection uptimes as well as total/free system memory.

Apart from that everything else appears to be the same just laid out differently of course!

Do you have Wake on Lan, Static DHCP for reserved LAN ips too ?

I also have the ability to link the wireless with other bridges.

Ah okay, yea it looks as though it has more or less the same features like you said there just laid out differently.

Yep there is a Wake on Lan feature but I don’t have it turned on, Static DHCP is also there :)

The wireless bride is a nice feature; haven’t put it to the test properly messed about with it for a few minutes I couldn’t see any other networks close by.

I love mine, it's great! It is a 1.1 and I've had it for years now. I've bricked it once, had to open it up and short the memory chip! That was my fault though. It's never failed me :)

I don't like Tomato myself, it is just pointless ajax and stuff! Don't need a fancy interface on a router haha. I've tried them all and HyperWRT Thibor is the best imo.

Race your uptime!

First one to a year? :)

I'm sure it would be ok to be honest. As you can see mine is fine for 2.5 months so far. Thing is I do things like unplug everything when I'm out for a weekend, or if I'm moving stuff around, cleaning etc. So I'd never win! :( No fair!

Me too! Longest mines being on for is about 2mts I have a habit of rebooting my gear once every 2 weeks/month :D
I would never reach a year!
