More than anything, this thread exists as an attempt to deter anyone who might actually be as stupid as I was to ignore all the critisism.
First up, Medusa 5.1 headphones never forfilled thier primary objective. 5.1 didn't work, end of. Of course we all already knew this.
Second, my mic broke within a few months. I was pleasantly suprised with the mic at first. It was all bendy and served as a little mini game when I had nothing to do (sticking in my mouth and grunting down msn!) and was detachable. Would have been nice if that had managed to continue forfulling its purpose too.
Third, the sound quality when outputting all 6 speakers were terrible, not too bad when just using two.
Fourth, they snapped in two today when a mouse coughed on them.
I AM STUPID AND I SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE A STUPID MAN.
Now, I ask all present audiophiles to help redeem myself and more importantly, completely show up the Medusa's by helping me find a much better quality pair of head speakers at a fraction of the price.
Requirements:
Must be cheaper than Medusa's (they cost me about £60 at the time w/p+p, I would love to spend half of that)
Should not be 5.1 (this is fair as I never ever used any more than the two central speakers)
If possible, a mic would be nice. In the interest of shaming the medusa's if it is advisable to not get a pair with a mic, I will sellotape a mic to the headset instead.
Must be mouse cough resistant.
Must sound great.
