Just had a rather freaky moment...
Was sitting in my room, planning to have a quiet night in, ordered a pizza and all was good. About 40 minutes after i ordered my pizza, there was a knock on the front door, and i was all like "Yay, food!". So off i went up the hall towards the front door, but the knocking never stopped. I thought, jeez... you ****'s are impatient, but ya dont mind making me wait 40 minutes for a damn pizza. Anywho, i opened the front door to see some guy i'd never laid eyes on before, who said "The house next door is in flames, my house is fine but its really close to yours".
It took me a second to actually take in what he said, and my first reaction was "OMG, WTF?!". So i stormed passed him and had a look from my front porch, and sure enough, there were flames coming out of my next door neighbours house, so i rushed back inside and called my dad (he was away on business, and its his house, not mine).
Anywho, after telling him what happened and looking thru his kitchen window to see the flames from next door like a foot from the glass, i was instructed to get the cars out of the yard. So i bolted out the back door and got one car out and put it on the street, then sprinted as fast as my chubby legs could carry me to the back of the house to get the other car, which was right next to the fence where the flames were. :|
At this point the flames where just brushing our guttering, so i got the hell outta there as fast as i could. After parking the second car on the street, the firefighters made an appearence, so i thought i'd just stand back and let them do their thing. After standing there for a few minutes, i remember something very important... I LEFT MY SMOKES INSIDE!!!!! So i legged it thru the front door and into my room to grab them, and darted back out the door again. So there i was, standing outside watching the firefighters do their thing. The crowds had gathered and the cops had blocked off the street... but with the street blocked off, HOW WAS THE GUY GONNA DELIVER MY PIZZA?????
Just as that thought crossed my mind, a rather attractive police chick came up and told me the pizza guy was there, but they couldnt let him into the street. I thought fair enough, and basically told her to send him packing. About 20 minutes later, the fire was out (the house was pretty much gutted), and everybody had packed up and left. But i was still missing my pizza... So in i went to re-order that mofo.
After explaining what had happened to the guy on the phone, he told me the pizza would be there in 30 minutes. To which i replied "Im not gonna get the ones i ordered before, am i? I want fresh ones!". To which he replied "No, it looks like the driver started eating yours, so we better send you out a fresh lot"
. Which left me thinking, would they have sent me back my cold ones if he hadnt decided to snack on em?
Anyway, everything has calmed down, the cops say the fire was very suss, so they have a fire watch on it for the rest of the night just incase it starts burning again, or if whoever started it in the first place comes to finish the job.
Luckily nobody was in the house next door at the time... well, not that i know of anyway.
So thats been my night, how was yours? =/
