Possibility of an MG ZT amongst others. Anyone know what they are like? Own one, driven one. They seem good value for money and I hear the diesel is a BMW lump :cool:

The CDTi 135 is a BMW 2.0 diesel. It's very rare for the modern KV6's to suffer HGF but the 1.8's do have the 4 cylinder K series which is known for HGF. Whether they all come with the uprated gasket and crank ladder I don't know.

I've never been in a ZT with the KV6 but have been in the ZT260... oh my word, what a beast. Of course, it's a Ford engine so I can't give kudos to Rover for that, but the rest of the car is lovely.

Tis a bit crazy going sideways in an MG. The noise turns so many heads too.

Fox, so he gets a decent engine without the stigma of owning a BMW and without paying a premium for one either. It's all good.

Nice cars - my Dad's got the CDTi 75 and he had the 2.0l KV6 75 before that

The 1.8 can suffer HGF, the V6 isn't prone to HGF at all really.

I get the feeling this forum is full of mental case retards who can't post advice without querying the poster which, imo, is sad.

Anyway, moving on, thanks to AGW and AJgoodfellow for the advice. I will take a look at the KV6s and see what they are like. What are trim options like?

I would suggest that unless others have anything useful to say, they keep their recommendations for when they go back to play skool, they'll be more welcome there.

For the standard ZT, IIRC there's only the base spec and the '+' spec

The base spec is pretty basic and lacks a lot of the features you'd like so I'd definitely hold out for a '+' spec model!
