I've got a DS3 with a Pentium D 2.8 running at 3.5ghz (14x250), 1.5ghz of mismatched Dell/Samsung RAM, 1ghz DDR2-400 4000 (I think) and 1ghz DDR-400 (3200) plus a 7950GT... I've got about £200-£250 to spend atm, thanks to finally chopping in the last of my free shares from work
And that's getting, so far, a TT120 and probably a quieter PSU. So... Should the rest go to replacing the RAM, or replacing the CPU with a 6300?
And if I do say RAM- which I'm leaning towards- should it be this ram? I will be honest, I don't have even the slightest handle on latency, timings, all that- I've read it over and over and it just won't stick. So please help someone with an inexplicable hole in their brain
