The GA-P67A-UD7, for me it is worth every penny. One has already got my name on it. :)

But for everyday use or gaming I would go for the GA-P67A-UD3 board.

I'm thinking of going UD4, it says SLI ready. It can have 2 cards running 8 lanes each.

Don't think I need more than that.

NathWraith, if you don't mind me asking, what's the state of play for launch day MINI ITX Sandy Bridge boards? Plenty of stock and choice? Any clue as to what to expect? I assume they're all H65/67 chipsets? :)

There is only 1 mini itx Sandybridge board for launch. The Foxconn H67-S, it has 3 SATA 6GB/s ports, USB3, HDMI, DVI, VGA and looks sweet in black and yellow.

Pics next week :D and is gonna come in at around £80.

i will be looking at Sandybridge set up motherboard cpu and ram . i will have about £450 do you think there will be a set up for that or should i go for older i5 /i7 ????

Yeah they certainly are. I've had no problems with their Sandy Bridge offerings so far but for other brands I can't say the same.

For those who haven't yet used/seen UEFI you are going to love it! It's amazing.... :)

What's the boot time like with UEFI compared to the standard/Legacy bios?

Hmm was about to upgrade my brothers PC with an AM3 setup similair to mine, but might aswell wait for sandybridge to see how much it costs.

Any idea roughly how much the cheapest P67 mothherboards will be?

Considerably faster!

Around £90 for the lower spec models.

Oh yes I'm sure plenty will be interested. Me included :)

Another small thing. Is Sandy Bridge all going to be on a single socket, or is there going to be another socket for different market targets?

(Like LGA1156 was to 1366).

i'm not sure they can say!

seen some mention lowest motherboard prices are about £90 - 100 , i assume memory is just normal ddr3 so depends if you want 4gb or 8gb, and the 2500k is rumored to be about £175 - £200, but absolutely no confirmation of this yet just rumours.

Whats the rumoured price for the 2500K?

I heard it was gonna come in around the same price as the i5 760, so about 140 give/take?

2 Sockets LGA1155 and LGA2011, one main stream the other enthusiast kinda like now, but LGA2011 SB won't be about until the 3rd quarter of 2011.

The site lists the price on the Intel Core i5-2500K at £160.51 excluding VAT
obviously i cant say which site as its a competitor and they won't have any in stock so it might change when they actually come out
