This is my current system;

AMD 64 3500+
2x512MB Crosair 3200 XMS PRO XL
Nvidia 7900 GT
250GB WD
500GB WD
SB Audigy 2
Silverstone Sugo SG01-evolution
FoxConn 6150K8MA-8EKRS

I will be getting a bit of money for xmas

so should be able to upgrade one, maybe 2 parts.

I was thinking upgrade the RAM to 4GB, its so cheap these days.

what would you go for?

mobo+cpu, IP35/Q6600 - best of luck, mate. 'tho' a ram upgrade would be a lot cheaper.

flibby: i'm not looking to spend a massive amount. around £150 - £200 max.

mk17: the Sugo is a small case so only fits micro-ATX mobo

Alan: already got a Dell 2407.

Base upgrade I would be looking at:

Intel Core 2 Duo E2180
Gigabyte G33M-S2
Geil Black Dragon 2GB DDR2 6400 (800Mhz)

That comes in at £161 incl delivery. If you wanted to spend the top end of your budget then you can either do one of the following to improve that:

1) Add an AF7 Pro cooler to overclock (£178.85)
2) Add an AF7 Pro cooler + 2GB more RAM (£210.56)
3) Replace the G33M-S2 with: Abit IP35-E + Akasa Zen black case (£192.59)
4) Replace the E2180 with an E6550 (£212.93)
5) Add 2GB more Geil Black Dragon DDR2 RAM (£192.95)
