Im not saying anyone who has schoolgirl cartoons or figurines is a Paedo, Im simply asking what kind of reaction do they get from family and friends about their tastes.

To be fair the OP did say Weird Hentai/Anime in his title...so the presumption should really be that he is asking about the more, shall we say, strange aspects of the genre rather than the mainstream stuff like Akira and Evangilion....

8 of the top 10 grosing films have violence as the main theme. All 8 are western made, and have western audiances as their primary target.

Agreed. If I happened to be a fat virgin living in my parent's basement longing for little girls with huge eyes and short skirts, then perhaps I might decorate said basement with anime figures. However, this is not the case.

It is weird, but no weirder than grown men spending anything/fortunes on the figures of Star Wars characters. But then my dad thinks me buying video games is weird and childish. Horses for courses.
