So who purchased a 660ti? post your benches and pictures in here.

Phsyx - yuck!

This card (660Ti) is completely lacking in any kind of "wow" reason to buy it.

Below it the 7850 is a better option for the price point and will overclock well past a stock 660Ti (for far cheaper) and above it - and only just above it - the 7950 is a far, far better option (even a cheapo reference one).

Give me a reference 7950 over a non-reference 660Ti anyway day of the week (assuming same price).

Kept quiet on the 660Ti's till now but it's ridiculous. These cards are absolutely pointless at ~£230-40.

US prices are $299 which equates to £190. Add 20% Vat on to that and you get £228.

I was pointing out that a large part of the difference is VAT so they're not as "over priced" as noizeuk made out.

If you think they're "over priced" then don't buy one.

No one is being forced to buy.

660 is a rip off basically, to think i was going to wait for it originally, glad i just got the 670 before the prices for those went crazy as well. if i was buying now.. well i just wouldnt buy a 660 or 670 now tbh

Ok guys, we get we are not happy about price but it has only just released so prices will go down some, (hopefully £200 mark soon enough) but lets not turn this into a thread about prices, lets get some real world performance results, as I don't fully trust the reviews or the settings they use, they are not the norm for most gamers.

Just wondering who has purchased a 660ti?

Care to share your thoughts and pictures and benchmarks, preferably for BF3?

Thinking at some point I will likely upgrade my 480 to a new slinkier model, is the 660 the way to go or wait for prices to fall(<I will be doing that anyway:D)

honestly i dont know if its worth upgrading from a 480. Putting to one side that is so overpriced. a 660 i think trades blows and is overall slightly faster than a 580. I doubt you will see much difference coming from 480

Bit different from the 670 launch, seems hardly anyone is buying these cards :D
Hopefully will force a price drop sooner rather than later. Maybe gibbo could tell us if they are selling well?

At £200 it would sell, at £250 for reference and up to £300 for non-reference, they are dead weight sales wise. At these prices they are considered purchases, and I would not consider the 192 bit 660 at all at £250 when you can have the full fat 670 for £40 more or the clockable 7950 for less.

I would be surprised if these are selling well. At £250 I feel it is much too high.

+1 £200 for these or even maybe £220 for non ref is the sweet spot.

The US price of the 660s equates to £190, add VAT to that at £38 and you get £228, which you can already get them for.

How many people in a thread saying they have them isn't realistically indicative of how many people are buying them.

I can't see many buying them of course, but to judge it like that is incredibly wrong.

Its not the best way of judging how many cards are being sold I agree, but look how long the 670 thread is.
