Were I in the market for a new machine right now, I'd definitely consider it, but as I only upgraded to Sandybridge a year ago I'm not ready to move on yet.

I'm definitely getting one. It should be a huge leap up in performance from my AMD 965 c3. Got the rest of my pc lined up to purchase tonight with the 10% off. Should make a hell of a difference to my batch processing of photos and gaming. 4890 to a 7950 =D

It would seem to show that it's GPU bound rather than CPU bound.... it also seems to do decent FPS on the integrated GPU.

Thanks for the link. I have seen something similar in the past but what i would rather see is a comparison using a gtx680/7970 and different CPUs. Hopefully someone will be able to give me some advice

Thats just testing the onboard graphics, not the CPU with a discrete GFX card.
