So yeah, how does multiquote work?

Right, so I click the multi+ on the actual posts I want to respond to? That's really quite clever (also, I'm not apparently).

Thank you, chaps, appreciate it.

Yes, the only difference is you have to click 'post reply', rather than use the quick reply box.

Simples.

Well I never.

I have always re-opened the thread in another tab and copied and pasted over. :o

I'm never quoting singly again.

Multi quote is great, to think that some ****** forums don't even have a quote button and consider quoting more than one person "excessive" *cough* Relicnews *cough*.

It'll carry them over too so you can read several pages clicking multi quote on posts and then when you've got to the end/next page they'll all be there still :)

However it also carries them over into unrelated threads too if you click the multi button and don't use it on that thread - it says something along the lines of "you have selected one quote that is not related to this thread - do you wish to deselect it y/n". Multiquote is quite a handy little feature though, certainly easier than it used to be.

Click multi on the quotes you wish to quote, then "quote" on the final one, and it will take you to the reply screen with all of the quotes ready separately tagged.

Click it for every post you want to quote and then either click post reply or on the last post you want to quote, click quote.

All of the quotes will then be in your post for you.

EDIT - damn you Jez!

yea you click multi quote on the posts you one (then normal quote on the last) and it will put them all in your post.

up to 4 iirc.

Fascinating, I pondered this myself! Thanks all.
