Bought myself a Samsung 960 Evo (256) M.2 and with the Samsung Migration software it was simplicity to clone the drive yet it is far slower to boot to desk top, in fact it takes 55 seconds to do so.

What am I missing?

When I cloned using Samsung's software AS SSD didn't show the drive as aligned properly, so I used Macrimum reflect instead, check it's aligned properly.
Not got a clue what you mean mate.
What I have done is downloaded and installed a driver from Samsung and it seems to have helped as boots times have certainly dropped from 55 to 25 seconds but still slower than my sata ssd.

Have you installed the Samsung NVME driver? Is it running PCI-E 3?
Yes to the first question and have not got a clue on your second.

I am thinking of changing mobos and going back up to ATX from M-ATX so will leave this issue until I see how I get on with the new set up.
