Software that completely wipes the hard drive??

What software can i use to completely wipe a hard drive? (preferably free software) :confused:

Because i know that if i format it data can still be recovered, and i want to sell the drive.

DBAN ought to do it, if it can work to the standards of the American Department of Defence uses then I'd say as a casual user you should be ok.

Just be careful. Coz it will wipe everything. Id unplug all the drives im not using just to be sure.

Cant get DBAN to install (dont like vista i guess).
Any other software i can use? And any that will wipe the drive within windows instead of having to do it when booting up?

Edit: Nevermind! Got some free software called Eraser, does the job well
