Reminds me of some disaster film I watched a few days ago, it was that good, I forget the name.... 
Im in bath which is rather south, but at the uni campus on a big hill... and looking south east the sky is really well lit up and green, its foggy, so i can;t distinguish anything, and it could just be flood lighting from the sports pitches in the distance, but it did seem rather odd.....
