The Banzai one? No idea I looked at it but needing 2 9v batteries I decided to pass it by. Also you need to get some form of case too as it's not included.

CMoy is just a name for the general design. The actual characteristics will depend on individual components and any tweaks. The juice cmoy are quite basic but do the job. Some of the best ones are the JDS labs bass boost CMOY and the Neco Soundlabs amps. I've not tried either but both have got great reviews.

The JDS Labs is the one I have my eye on, but it's from the USA...and about £45?

Ok, So, I will be buying the DT770's soon, but which set do I need? The 80-Ohm or 250-Ohm?

I have the 250ohm version, harder to drive but will have more detail across the range. Using an amp you shouldn't have an issue driving them so the 250ohm is likely to be the best option.

Well, I have the JDS Labs Bass Boost CMoy on the way, mentioned I had DT770's 250 Ohm and he is tweaking it for them...

Hopefully 1 or 2 more weeks before I have the funds for the DT770's, really excited...

Ok, had a bonus from work today, forgot about it, so purchased the DT770's 250 Ohm. Also grabbed a set of Beyerdynamic DTX60 for my iPhone, to replace the Marshall Minor's as they are hurting my ears.

They will both be here tomorrow, will update with findings.

Ok, they arrived about an hour ago...plugged the DT770's into my FiiO E5 for now, WOW, never knew anything could sound so damn good and clear!!

Going to try the DTX60's on the way to work.

If this is the quality from a 'basic' headphone amp, I'd love to hear what it's like when I get my JDS Labs Bass Boost CMoy....
