Hi all, ok so ive been wanting to build a htpc for a while now, so i bought the following to do so.
case: zalman hd503
mb: gigabyte 880gm ud2h
cpu: athlon x250
ram: ocz platinum
os: win 7 prem 64bit
graphics im using onboard hd4200

the plan was to build, install win7 and mediaportal and use as htpc with no hassles!!! haha some joke that turned out to be, if it carrys on its going out the window!!!

ive read many posts on different forums about how people use the imon display/remote with mediaportal as its compatible whereas xbmc isnt or so ive read ( not that it matters now cos ive bought windows!!)

problems im getting: install os fine, install mediaportal fine, both working sweet, install imon drivers and all hell lets loose, the pc bugs out, cant open windows menu as it flickers without giving me chance to click anything. it basicly does this with any window or program i try to open.
only thing i can do is restart pc and quickly uninstall. this seems to calms things down abit but its still buggy as hell.

now i would like to try and get mediaportal working but honestly if it dont work with imon then i have to live with it, but just getting display to work showing me my temps and info would be nice.

if anyone knows of a solution please help

i think ive narrowed it down to the imon display and driver.
after 3 installs following the same steps as before but changing the last step every time, each time i install imon manager the pc goes buggy.
would this be a problem bcos im using 64bit?

Its an awesome case - I've seen this on a competitors website and it looks stunning.
I believe it has to be a driver issue. I looked on the Zalman website and it doesn't say what OS the driver is compatible with.

Maybe fire off an email to Zalman to ask if the drivers are compatible with Win7? I would have thought the IMON would have been 'plug and played' with Win7 media center?

tis a very nice case!! so much space inside they could have utilised better.
i will send soundgraph and zalman an email and wait their reply.
for now i will play and try 32bit see if it makes a difference or not.
