Ta for the comments, first time I've taken any macro for a while, bit rusty.

Get on with those shots Joe![]()

Was looking for jumping spiders but they were far too active today, couldn't get one sitting long enough to focus properly. Just happened to hear the fly buzzing in the web and took a couple, this was the best one.Richdog said:How did you manage to catch the fly like that, was it just a spur of the moment shot?

AndyBorzi said:They seem grainy though the ISO states 200, was it the processing that brought that out? (Not a critism just surprised)
dod said:I started a thread about that ages ago. For some reason darkish greens always seem to show as noisy on my 20D. It really shouldn't be as bad as it is, the spider is more or less full frame, the bee is cropped about 20%

Be interesting to see what you get, here's another green background, 100% crop, unprocessed and it's very obviousAndyBorzi said:My wife has a 20d, I shall try shooting something with a dark green background to see what I get. I shall try my 400D with it as well.
Very nice indeedRichdog said:Nice clean images though at 10.1MP, very happy with this camera so far.![]()
