A bit of a variety of photos but I thought I'd put them all in one thread, went out for a walk near by and then drove down to the beach for another walk.

C&C welcomed :)

Some very nice shots there. I'm assuming you've used a filter on the first few.

The last one is definitely my favourite. You might want to try a little processing on the boat and sky, or possibly just increase the saturation slightly (I can't make my mind up, as usual). Still, it's definitely my favourite :) The whole composition of it just works really well. The anchor chain (is that what it's called? Probably not :D) leading you from the front, up to the boat is nice :)

Some really nice shots there. Very much like the boats ... and agree about the comment about the anchor leading in to the photo.

Did you use a polarising filter to enhance the sky? or was it an ND? I always get confused, once stops reflections on water the other doesnt? I confused myself trying to explain what I mean, he he! help :)

some nice pics there! Really nice skies - how do you acheive these kind of skies.

I also detect a touch of HDR in there as well. My fave is No 7. Althoug No. 8 would overtake if the contrast range was a little better.

Thanks for the replies, I only used a UV filter on my lens, the photos are indeed HDR, with the skies in the first few, there was a bit of a gradient in the colour which has been exaggerated a bit as I processed them. I was thinking I needed to have another go at processing the last one, although generally it is with the processing that I have problems as I am never sure quite what to aim for so processing for me can be a bit hit and miss.

HDR huh! that will explain why my shots never come out like that as i generally never used it!

Please don't take this the wrong way, I really like your photo's my only issue is some of the landscape shots at the begining seem to have lost during processing the shadows that would give them depth so seem a bit flat 4 and 5 being the ones that stand out to me.

Not at all, it's my processing that I'm most unsure of anyway so all feedback is appreciated :) The original shot isn't that different though I didn't think -

I didn't feel that much of the shadows were lost as I was aiming for a natural feel anyway and though the main difference is in the sky, although there is a halo effect around the trees now that I look at it again... :o

the first few dont do much for me im afraid, they seem like pics of nothing interesting.. 7 and 8 though are really nice.. they do need more sat/contrast i think. im picturing those last 2 @ sunrise aswell.. i think that could work nicely ^^

Nothing interesting , they look great... lovely colours , good depth , cool reflections and cool clouds. Its the sort of shot i'd have as a wallpaper background!
