Some slightly austere landscapes...

Been in a really bad mood today, although I'll be damned if I can figure out why!

Felt drawn to process some of my bleaker Peak District shots. These probably won't be to everyone's taste - in fact, I almost feel like I've processed them to be deliberately unattractive, lol.

Thought I'd share anyway!

I really like number 3, the dead tree's and colour match.

austere is the perfect word for these i really like them a lot. theyve got good contrast. especially in the 1st one where the contrast in the foreground really draws your attention from where id would get a bit lost on the background. and good angle on the last one. 1 and 3 would be my fav's.

I was wondering where the tree from the 2nd one is in the 1st, but from the backgrounds you changed your hight a bit??

Rav, from what I remember the first two were taken from roughly the same height, but a couple of hundred yards apart horizontally. They were both taken at 300mm, which means that relative positions of things change very quickly.
